Controller Fix VR

DESCRIPTION

This mod fixes the actual issue with controller doubling or appearing held by hand in game bugs properly.

Underlying issue was a rogue controller node under wand node tree. It couldn't be made invisible because it was inaccessible by the pointers.

This mod checks the wand node children and finds those rogue controller nodes and makes them invisible and unparents them. You can check ControllerFixVR.log to see if it found any rogue controllers and fixed them. It has an ini to modify when the controllers will be shown (which menus etc.).

It also has an SKSE interface to force show controllers any time if another mod wishes it. It works alongside VRIK properly with integration (0. 8. 3+, but works with older versions too of course).

REQUIREMENTS

The mod includes only a dll and config file. No esp, nothing in your save. You can get it in and out of your mod list anytime without any issues.

I also suggest removing any mods that you previously had that modify nif files to try to fix this issue like VR Double Controller Fix etc. because they are not compatible, and they are not compatible with what this mod is trying to do. And it's not a good idea to mess with those meshes.

Simply install this mod with your mod manager, and then forget about it. Play your game like normal, and if you don't encounter any controller bugs anymore, then this mod did a good job.

If you however encounter an unfixed rogue controller bug in game while this mod is installed and active, then open "Sleep/Wait Menu" in game and then close it, wait for 5-10 seconds before closing the game (This forces the mod to print the current controller node tree to log).

And then open the log file at path: "My Documents\my games\Skyrim VR\SKSE\ControllerFixVR.log" with notepad and send it to me in the comments section using pastebin.com or controlc.com. This way I'll be able to add support for your particular controller bug as well.

CONFIGURATION

Configuration for this mod can be done from its config file ControllerFixVR.ini.

Here are the important settings:

EnableLog = 1                      #Enables logging about rogue controllers. I suggest leaving this at 1 so that if you get a rogue controller in game that's not fixed by this mod, you can send me the log so that I can add support for that particular bug as well.
