📋 About This Mod
This mod and its addons are now part of my All-In-One Collection
---------------------------------------------
This mod uses Ershin's "Open Animation Replacer" to dynamically change actors' (PC and NPCs by default) animations based on whether they're wearing heavy, light or no armor (Robes, clothes or naked) and, when non-armored, whether they have a high enough magic stat.
This will also serve as the main folder structure for my released and upcoming non-combat animation mods.
Thanks to Open Animation Replacer and the new conditions it offers, this mod is now able to isolate body slot 32 (body: used for chest armor) and check whether it's flagged as heavy or light armor and trigger their respective animations, disregarding all other body slots (such as hands and feet), this was impossible with Dynamic Animation Replacer.

📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Massive community trust: 15,738 endorsements and 3.1M downloads — this is a staple animation mod.
- Adds immersive variety: your character moves differently based on what they're wearing, which feels great for roleplay.
- Works for both player and NPCs, so the whole world feels more consistent.
⚠️ Cons
- Requires Open Animation Replacer — if you don't have it, you'll need to install that first.
- Last updated in June 2023 — might have compatibility issues with the latest Skyrim updates or other animation mods.
For Skyrim players who want more immersive movement based on armor type, especially roleplayers and those who love animation overhauls. If you're already using Open Animation Replacer, this is a no-brainer. Skip if you prefer minimal modding or don't care about animation variety.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Make sure you have Open Animation Replacer installed and enabled before adding this mod, or animations won't change.
- Check your mod manager's load order — this mod should load after Open Animation Replacer to avoid conflicts.
- Test with different armor types (heavy, light, unarmored) to see the differences; if animations don't change, verify the mod is active.
