📋 About This Mod
Darker and Desaturated textures for most available Cathedral 3D Plants. Originally created with VR in mind,
but suitable for SE too, if the plants appear too bright or saturated in your game.
Made this for my own game, but i thought some of you might want to have it as well.
It only includes the diffuse textures, so it will require the original mods.
What´s included
- Deathbell (i turned the brown leaves to green)
- Mountain Flower
- Nightshade
- Snow Berries (Green and Variegated version)
- Stonecrop
- Sword Fern
- Tundra Cotton
- Tundra Shrubs
It also includes the snowy versions of Snowberries and Mountainflowers which i had created for the original mods
The Dragons Tongue is not inlcuded, because i made my own texture replacer for this plant.

This mod darkens and desaturates textures for most Cathedral 3D plants, giving them a more muted, realistic look. It's a simple texture replacer for Skyrim players who want less vibrant flora. With 702 endorsements and frequent updates, it's a popular choice for visual overhauls.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Community favorite with 702 endorsements and over 328k downloads
- Gives a more grounded, realistic look to Skyrim's flora
- Regularly updated (last March 2024) so it's likely compatible with current setups
⚠️ Cons
- Only affects textures, so if you want new plant models, this isn't it
- May not cover every single Cathedral plant, so some might remain vanilla-bright
- Requires the original Cathedral 3D Plants mod, so it's not standalone
For Skyrim players who use Cathedral 3D Plants but find the colors too vivid. If you're aiming for a darker, more realistic landscape, this is a must-have. Skip if you prefer the original vibrant look or don't use Cathedral 3D Plants.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Make sure you have Cathedral 3D Plants installed first, then just drop this mod's files into your mod manager and overwrite when prompted.
- Load order doesn't matter much for texture replacers, but placing it after Cathedral 3D Plants ensures it takes effect.
- If you use ENB, you might need to tweak your settings to get the best look with the darker textures.
