📋 About This Mod
Candlehearth changes some chests on inns to function as player storage when a room is rented. This is fine if you don't use any mods that change the interior cells of the inns, but otherwise you'll have chests in strange positions, or perhaps completely out of the player's reach. This mod simply reverts the position back to COTN's intended design, and if COTN disables the chest, this patch enables it back and places it in a suitable location near your rented bed.
Also, because Candlehearth uses the vanilla item placement, some beds will be missing (again, only if you installed a mod that changes the layout of the cell as drastically as COTN does). This mod also fixes that, returning the beds to COTN's position so you can get a good night's rest.
The main file is an AIO that patches all four Cities of the North mods on a single ESP. The optional files are for each release of COTN, so in case you don't have all of them, you can simply download them individually. Both the main and optional files are ESL flagged.
This patch relocates the beds and chests in Candlehearth Hall to remain accessible when using Cities of the North (COTN) mods. It's a small compatibility fix for Skyrim players who use both mods, with 131 endorsements and last updated in August 2023.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Solves a real problem if you run COTN and Candlehearth together (131 endorsements show it works).
- Tiny patch, so it won't bloat your load order or cost performance.
- Still maintained—last updated August 2023, so it's not abandoned.
⚠️ Cons
- Only useful if you actually use COTN mods—otherwise it's pointless.
- No detailed description, so you're trusting the author's word on what it changes.
- Potential conflicts with other mods that alter Candlehearth's interior layout.
For Skyrim players who run Candlehearth and any Cities of the North mod and want to actually use the inn's beds and chests. Skip it if you don't use COTN or if you're fine with the vanilla placement.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Make sure you have the COTN mod(s) installed before adding this patch, or it won't do anything.
- Load this patch after Candlehearth and COTN in your mod manager to ensure the changes apply.
- If you use a mod manager like Vortex or MO2, just download and enable—no manual file placement needed.
