📋 About This Mod
This is a patch for samuelga24 Bound hands - Helgen attack DAR animations. What it does is to allow NPCs to play those same animations.
By default all NPC and the PC wearing prisoner cuffs will use these animations. But often NPCs will start to cross their arms or put one hand on their hip, breaking the hand cuffs pose.
Here is a list of the patch contents:
- []Adds support for captured bandits with Headhunter. You don't need Headhunter for this mod to work though.
- []Overwrite a few idles and NPC turns with the default bound hands animation, so that bound NPCs won't snap out of their cuffs.
See the main mod page for installation, permissions and original credits.

📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Solid community backing with 227 endorsements and over 14k downloads
- Fixes a real immersion-breaking issue where bound NPCs snap out of their cuffs
- Optional Headhunter support is a nice touch for bounty hunters
⚠️ Cons
- Requires the original Bound hands - Helgen attack DAR animations mod to function
- Only affects NPCs; if you want player-specific animations, you need the base mod
- Compatibility risk with other animation mods that alter idles or turn behaviors
For Skyrim players who use samuelga24's Bound hands mod and want NPCs to stay convincingly cuffed during Helgen attack scenes or when leading prisoners. It's also great for Headhunter users who capture bandits. Skip if you don't use the base mod or don't care about NPC bound animations.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Make sure you have the original Bound hands mod installed first, then drop this patch in and let it overwrite.
- If you use other animation mods that change idle behaviors, load this patch after them to ensure it takes priority.
- For Headhunter users, install this patch after Headhunter to get the captured bandit support.
