... Bolgans, as they are called, are a race of brutes holding some relative to the giants, in ages past they used to live all across Skyrim.

Identified by their robust size and a skin red as the blood of their victims, they hold camps near Dwemmer ruins.

When nords and giants arrived in Skyrim, the Bolgans could not hold their ground against all those enemies, the Dwemmer offered them protection in exchange for their loyalty, but little did the Bolgans know, the Dwemmer had a fate worse than extinction reserved for them.

Tricked by the Dwemmer, the Bolgans now became slaves, being used to build the massive strongholds underneath the stones, hunting, collecting resources, and of course, for war.

Bolgans were very often used in the frontlines to charge against and dismantle formations, creating openings for the Dwarven armies to attack.

Many rebellions tried to rise up against the Dwemmer throught the years, most of them always ended up supressed and dismantled, but among all those failed rebellions, one of them was able to survive for a long period of time, leaded by a fierce Bolgan, an alliance was created with the Altmer, who at the time had a great interest for the knowledge the Dwemmer held.

To seal the new alliance, the elves forged and engraved in the Bolgan Style, a mighty sword that was fit for a king.

So there he was, holding his new sword, for the first time in ages, the Bolgans got their knees in true respect and proclaimed their leader as the High King of their species.

Leaded by their king, the Bolgans held their rebellion ofr many years to come against the Dwemmer, but again, the dwarves proved to be an enemie far more powerful than they could ever imagined.

In a final charge, the rebellion was finally destroyed...and the king, killed. But in respect for their courage and resistance for a long period of time, the Dwemmer kept the Bolgan King Sword as a remind of vigor and fierceness, to never underestimate their enemies.

The Bolgans remained slaves for a long period of time, even after their masters vanished on thin air from the face of the earth, some of them still guard the Dwemmer ruins...

The Bolgan King Sword has a 10% higher chance of landing critical hits and also a higher damage output than a Daedric Sword.
