"Bloedzuigers are among the most repulsive creatures that plague the wilds of Tamriel. Wherever they feed, they leave behind veritable ponds of blood and shredded viscera, the result of their grotesque feeding habits. Unlike ordinary leeches, they cannot simply draw blood through the skin; instead, they tear open the abdomen of their prey and siphon out the entrails. Their limbs are bloated and heavy, their torsos swollen and worm-like, and their movements sluggish, traits that make them opportunistic feeders, typically preying on animals weakened or trapped in deep mud.

The carnage they create, left to rot under the sun, produces a stench so putrid that even hardened adventurers struggle to bear it. This foulness is worsened by their defensive mechanism: a gout of half-digested blood they vomit when threatened, coating armor and clothing with a reek that can linger for days. It is said that Hagravens and certain witches find this odor enticing, keeping Bloedzuigers as grotesque pets and feeding prisoners to them in twisted bloody rituals.
