📋 About This Mod
Hi I know I just released this one a bit ago but I've decided to go back to it and revisit it. I love these armors from goampuja and want them to be the best quality I can make. I learned a lot in the process of making Asura's Guard - PBR and wanted to bring those skills and techniques back to this one. I have remade every texture from scratch using my new workflow and I think the results are a big step up from the original that I made.
Thanks for downloading and I appreciate an endorsement if you enjoy.
Original Install Info
What FOMOD settings you choose for the original install should not matter, these textures are using all the default settings from it. I might include some variations over time like the semi-transparent, and optional color variations but not for sure yet. Let me know if their is any demand for that but otherwise the look you see in the pictures is what you'll get in terms of coloring and transparency.
Thanks to Community Shaders/The Cistern discords for their help and guidance.
Thanks to goampuja for the permissions to use his assets in this conversion and the original obviously. Hopefully more of his armor conversions to come.
Thanks to Polyhaven/AmbientTCG for their open source PBR materials.
This is a PBR conversion of the Bladedancer's Edge weapon mod for Skyrim, designed to work with Community Shaders. It enhances the blade's textures with realistic material properties, making it a visual upgrade for players using that mod. With 108 endorsements and 39,312 downloads, it's a niche but popular enhancement for fans of the original weapon.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Solid download count (39,312) shows real demand for this PBR upgrade
- Tight integration with Community Shaders means it's built for the modern Skyrim modding scene
- Lightweight texture mod that won't bloat your load order
⚠️ Cons
- Only works if you have Community Shaders installed, so it's useless without that dependency
- Purely cosmetic—no gameplay changes or new mechanics
- Compatibility risk with other weapon texture overhauls that might conflict
For Skyrim modders who already run Community Shaders and want their Bladedancer's Edge to look sharper with PBR. If you're not using Community Shaders or don't care about the original mod, skip this—it's a texture upgrade, not a new weapon.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Make sure you have Community Shaders installed and enabled before adding this mod, or the PBR textures won't render correctly.
- If you're using a mod manager, let it overwrite any older Bladedancer's Edge textures to ensure the PBR version takes priority.
- Check your load order—this mod should load after the original Bladedancer's Edge to apply the textures properly.
