📋 About This Mod
Background-
[]Diseases in Skyrim work by applying a disease Spell to the player.
[]The spell includes one or more MagicEffects that may conditionally be applied to the player.
[]If successfully applied, the MagicEffect shows up as a disease in the player's active MagicEffects.
[]The base game includes unique MagicEffects for each disease.
The core game does not include a way to identify a specific disease affecting the player, just that the player has some disease. However, NPCs, such as the Vigilants of Stendarr, can check for active MagicEffects applied on the player (see the quest DialogueGenericVigilantsOfStendarr).
When diseases, such as those added by Bruma, share potential MagicEffects, NPCs cannot distinguish specific diseases affecting the player.
Update the diseases added by Beyond Skyrim such that each disease has its own unique MagicEffect(s).
Esme, the healer from my mod, Mistborn, will perform an assessment of the player's symptoms and make unique comments based on the disease/MagicEffect(s) applied to the player. Video demo.
A small bug fix for Beyond Skyrim that splits shared magic effects so NPCs can identify specific diseases in dialogue. With 195 endorsements and 16,154 downloads, it's a niche fix for players who want more accurate disease interactions.

- Targets a real annoyance for Beyond Skyrim players who want dialogue to match their disease state
⚠️ Cons
- Only relevant if you're playing Beyond Skyrim—useless otherwise
- Last updated in 2023, so it might not be compatible with newer Beyond Skyrim releases
- Could conflict with other mods that touch the same magic effects or disease systems
