📋 About This Mod
This mod automatically fixes followers stuck in an sneaking/crouching visual state without players needing to press any buttons or go to the console to type disable/enable on the followers stuck.
This mod works by using NotifyAnimationGraph("SneakStop") when a follower is detected as sneaking still while the player is standing. This mod constantly watches for this issue so no player input is needed, without any performance loss as well.
Interestingly, when this bug happens the followers aren't actually technically recognized by the game as in a "sneaking" state but Skyrim's Havok Behavior engine has its own IsSneaking and somehow becomes out of sync with the game state. I found out the hard way trying to get this mod to work until I found out in my debug logs that the follower was actually not in a sneaking state even though visually they are sneaking. So instead I have to detect through actual behavior graph.
In the following video, I recreate the stuck sneaking bug on a follower and save the game so that I can reliably load into this faulty state, and the before/after this mod is enabled is shown:
