📋 About This Mod
Arissa is one of my favorite companions but she uses a custom body. This patch just redirects her to use whatever your default Body and Texture mods are. Doesn't matter if it's UNP/oldrim CBBE/CBBE SE.
Arissa is a great companion but if you use mods that change the default female body and/or armor she can look a bit off. This mod just redirects her to use whatever your default body and texture mods are. It also reassigns her default armor to a simple vanilla game hide armor to avoid having her body clip through her armor. This mod requires downloading, converting, and installing the original Arissa (if you're still on oldrim you can obviously skip the conversion process). This mod should work fine in oldrim but I no longer have it installed so I haven't tested it there. It's also mergeable so it won't take an ESP slot if you do that.
Installation:
First you'll need to convert Arissa to a format useable in SE. Personally, I didn't do a full conversion, all I did was extracted the BSA and ran the meshes through NIF Optimizer (excluding the head parts). She works great in my game now that I finally figured out how to convert her appearance to use my body and texture mods.
If you want to do a full conversion, here is a nice youtube video that shows you exactly how (this method is fairly involved), I'm not going to cover that part:

- install your converted version of Arissa.
- install this mod
Now we need to fix her head. Her head mesh has a single texture defined to use a custom path. The rest of her head textures are already using the default path (so she's actually not using all of the head textures that come with the mod, she's only using 1 of them). There's 2 ways to fix that. One requires editing the mesh in NifScope (which is actually really easy). The other method just requires overwriting the single custom head texture she's using with the version from your texture mod. You only need to do 1 of the 2 methods below.
Copy Method (if you like to change your textures frequently you will need to redo this every time):
- copy the following file from your default texture mod \textures\actors\character\female\femalehead.dds
- rename this file to _Arissa_femalehead.dds
- copy (and overwrite) that file in your Arissa companion mod in \textures\arissa\basepackage\_Arissa_femalehead.dds
NifScope Method (if you do this Arissa's textures will automatically update any time you change your texture mod):
- open up the following file in the Arissa companion mod with NifScope \meshes\actors\character\facegendata\facegeom\companionarissa.esm\00000d62.nif
- now look at the screenshots I have provided and find the one showing her headmesh in NifScope. Change the section I have highlighted in Red to match the section I have highlighted in Green. Save.
