Appropriately Attired Housecarls

Have you ever wondered why the Jarls of Skyrim equip their Housecarl's with very weak armor? Irileth, the royal bodyguard of the prestigious Jarl of Whiterun, trade hub of Skyrim, is equipped with the armor that your average beggar could craft with the hides from a wolf. Every wondered why Unmid Snow-Shod, the Housecarl of a Stormcloak Jarl, wears the armor of the very faction he is opposed against? Ever wondered why the Housecarl of the Jarl of Winterhold isn't wearing armor at all? Even if you hadn't noticed these oddities before, you sure will now, and that is where this mod comes into play.

This mod's purpose is to equip the Housecarls of Skyrim with something worth their status. Many of the Housecarls in the game come equipped with some very basic armor, weapons, and abilities. Irileth is a striking example of this. Her Jarl is the ruler of the richest hold in Skyrim, and she is equipped with some run-of-the-mill leather armor? That's just insane. This mod came up from the annoyance of seeing Irileth with that leather armor, but it has expanded to incorporate the rest of the housecarls as well as the rest of their armory.

This mod also applies new outfits to replacement housecarls after the Civil War. These housecarls do not use any armor in the vanilla game, and will now switch to appropriate armor when they take on their new role.

This mod changes the armor, weapons, and perks of the Jarl's Housecarls to give them a more intimidating look and to increase immersion. It also allows the housecarls to defend their Jarl if need be.

This mod also changes the equipment of Housecarl replacements, after a city is taken during the Civil War. These replacement Housecarls will continue to use their normal apparel until they take over their new role.

This mod utilizes Spell Perk Item Distributer (SPID) to modify the original Housecarls, and scripts to change the equipment of replacement Housecarls to maintain maximum compatibility.

The armor, weapon, spell, and perk changes to each Housecarl are as follows;

Helvard of Falkreath

- Scaled Armor to Steel Plate Armor

- Steel Mace changed to Orcish Mace

- Added 1-3 Juggernaut Perk/Well Fitted Perk

Bolgeir Bearclaw of Solitude

- Changed Steel Plate Armor to Ebony Armor

- Changed Dual Orcish Swords to Dual Ebony Swords

- Added 1-5 Juggernaut Perk/Well Fitted/Conditoning

Gorm of Morthal

- Studded Armor to Steel Plate Armor

- Iron Mace to Orcish Waraxe

- Added Juggernaut 1-2/Well Fitted
