Anita Montoya wasn't the typical strong Nord woman.  First off, she was a brunette and not a blonde.  Secondly, she was an accomplished sorceress.  While it was true that she could untiringly wield two hand axes while wearing heavy armor, it was her skill with magic that made her unique among the Nords.  Not only was she in command of a host of deadly Destruction spells, she could invoke any one of several Restoration spells that would handily return her to full health.

However, it wasn't Anita's skill as a Sorceress that turned her into a celebrity.  Truth be told, it was her great beauty.  It was her face and figure that got her noticed by the famous High Society artist, Bacetrica.

It was during a visit to the College of Winterhold that Bacetrica discovered his next Bacetrica Girl: Anita Montoya,  He found her quite by accident, although his artistic Muse may well have had a hand in the chance meeting.

Anita was studying in the College's Arcanum, readying herself for tomorrow's hands-on test of several newly-learned Destruction spells.  Sensing something special about the handsome man who was walking into the Arcaenum, she looked up from her book.  Her brown eyes twinkling with intelligence and vitality, she gave him a winsome smile.  Surprised by the tingle that she felt when they made eye contact, she quickly looked down and tried and failed to comprehend the words that were written on the pages of her textbook.

Immediately taken by Anita's beauty, Bacetrica suddenly felt compelled to draw her face.  Yes!  He would make her his next Bacetrica Girl!  Turning on the charm, he politely asked the demure brunette college girl to let him draw her portrait   To prove his words, he set his portfolio on the nearby table and pulled out a large sketch pad and several graphite pencils.  He was so taken by her beauty that he was determined to draw her face, then and there.

Initially skeptical, Anita politely but firmly refused his request.  Wise beyond her years, she wasn't going to fall for that old trick.

As luck would have it, Arch Mage Savos Aren walked into the Arcaenum just in time to speak up for Bacetrica.  Alerted by Faralda that the famous artist had come to the College to browse the Arcaenum's stacks, Savos had hastened to the Arcaenum to greet his Gods-son.  It was the Arch Mage who convinced Anita to let Bacetrica draw her portrait.

By the end of term, Anita Montoya was a household name.  Thanks to Bacetrica's marvelous artistry, gilt-framed portraits of Anita Montoya were being sold in art shops all throughout Tamriel.  People were clamoring to p
