📋 About This Mod
Skyrim version recommended to be 1. 9. 32. 0 or higher
The rose is like any other in that it will wilt.
The more of its power that is used, the more wilted it becomes.
Eventually all its petals fall off and it loses its powers.
Somewhere in Oblivion a new rose blooms and is plucked by Sanguine himself to be given to a new champion.
Anima and Sanguine danced with each other often through her budding years. As a mortal she was often the “Life of the party”. These actions had lead Sanguine to contact her directly. After a night together with a stranger named Sam, Anima had an eye infection which grew into something more...
Anima can be found in the Frozen Hearth in Winterhold.

Anima - Champion of Sanguine SSE is a follower mod that adds a spellsword companion named Anima to the Frozen Hearth in Winterhold. She comes with custom armor, a unique weapon, and a backstory tied to Sanguine. The mod requires Skyrim version 1.9.32.0 or higher and uses the UUNP body.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Decent community traction with 191 endorsements and over 8.5k downloads.
- Unique follower with a custom weapon and armor, plus a lore-friendly backstory tied to Sanguine.
- Includes a fun quirk: she may be unequipped when you meet her, so you can give her sword back or not.
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated in 2020, so it may not be fully compatible with the latest Skyrim SE patches.
- Requires the UUNP body, which may conflict with mods that use CBBE or other body types.
- Uses assets from many other mods, so you'll need to install those dependencies to get the intended look.
For Skyrim players who want a lore-friendly follower with a unique aesthetic and a bit of Sanguine's flair. If you're into spellsword companions and don't mind the UUNP body requirement, this is a solid pick. Skip if you prefer CBBE or want a follower with extensive dialogue or quests.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Make sure your Skyrim is updated to at least version 1.9.32.0, and consider using a mod manager like Vortex or MO2 to handle the many dependencies.
- Since she uses UUNP, you'll need to install a UUNP body mod and ensure your other body mods are compatible, or she may look broken.
- When you first meet Anima, she might be unequipped—just take her sword and give it back to her to fix her loadout.
