In the course of her journeys, she gained great power and influence, leading the Companions of Whiterun to glory, bringing riches and fortune back to the Thieves Guild, gaining the title of the Archmage of the College of Winterhold despite only using a shield to defeat their enemies, aiding the Dawnguard in their struggle against the vampires etc etc

Things were going well, until a certain warrior clad in pitch-black armor sought her out while she was clearing her list of endless favors of fetching; the shadowy warrior challenged her to a duel, which she accepted without hesitation.

On that fateful day, Anabella was struck down. Her companion, Megumi, desperately tried all manners of healing spells and potions to keep her alive, but she was fading out fast. Her opponent sheathed his weapon calmly and stood over her, removing the Elder Scroll from her back. After a great sigh of disappointment, he opened the Scroll, held it facing Anabella's direction, and began a strange and powerful chant. The snow around them rose and swirled while the ground beneath them began to shake. A mystical force took hold of the two girls and suspended them in mid-air. The warrior closed the scroll, and spoke, as though in riddles, to his defeated opponents as they began to fade in a blinding light,
