📋 About This Mod
Preset for use with Alternate Conversation Camera or Improved Alternate Conversation Camera. I wanted to be able to zoom on a speaker slightly while still being able to fully see my character.
You can still control the amount of zoom depending on how much your camera is zoomed in or out before entering dialogue. I also recommend No Compass in Dialogue mod as I disabled the black bars since their size isn't customizable in the ini. and with their default size they were cropping out characters too much with this preset.
IMPORTANT :
- Do not use main files of Improved version, instead use "Simple" version from optional files. The main one has a bug where it ignores your offset settings, so the camera is nearly always directly behind your character covering the speaker.
- If you use SmoothCam, in it's MCM go to Dialogue tab and set Dialogue Mode to Disabled.

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Community favorite with 593 endorsements and 55k downloads—clearly a lot of people dig it.
- Simple concept that just works: you see both your character and the NPC during conversations, which is way more immersive.
- Lightweight and focused—doesn't try to overhaul everything, just fixes the camera for dialogues.
⚠️ Cons
- Only one preset, so if you don't like the exact framing, you're out of luck unless you tweak it yourself.
- Might conflict with other camera or UI mods that alter conversation views, so test with your load order.
- No updates since August 2024, so it might not be compatible with the latest Skyrim patches or other mods that change dialogue systems.
For Skyrim players who want a more cinematic feel during conversations without overhauling the whole game. If you're tired of the default close-up on NPCs and want to see your character's reactions, this is for you. Skip if you prefer the classic camera or use other mods that already change dialogue cameras.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Since it's a simple preset, you can install it manually by dropping the files into your Data folder, but using a mod manager like Vortex or MO2 makes it easier to uninstall.
- If you use other camera mods, load this one after them to ensure it takes priority.
- Test in a conversation early in the game to see if the framing suits your screen resolution.
