📋 About This Mod

AI Overhaul SSE is a great mod. But its Achillesheel is the distribution of its packages to npcs. So dozens of patches are needed to solve distribution and conflicts. By SPID this becomes way more transparent and safer.

My implementation isn't flawless for sure, but it's way better than stacking all these patches on top of each other ;-)

I also added Ussep packages to it.

This mod works together with AI Overhaul SSE SkyPatcher Patch by  sincerity2103. That mod uses SkyPatcher to distribute items, factions, flags and skills from AI Overhaul SSE.

Important notes:

  • []This mod only affects the same npc's as in the npc-list of AI Overhaul.

These are mostly unique and named npc's added by Skyrim.esm,

    Dawnguard.esm, Heartfires.esm and Dragonborn.esm ( base and dlc's of SSE

). All other than vanilla npc's are NOT affected ;-)[/]

  • []The Idolaf vs Adrienne issue has been fixed by SPID version 7. 2. Many thanx to Sasnikol for his determination :-)[/]

For the rest you will need specific patches for mods that add new npcs, like Interesting NPCs or Cutting Room Floor.

But the good news is that you can easily create SPID mods for these the way i did ;-) And these will be as load order independent as my mod, regardless of whatever changes these npcs.

    Notes for version 2. 0:

    • []No longer Override Package Lists distributed to groups of npc's. This is actually for a different scope, for a different type of mod[/]

[]Override package lists now individually added to npc's[/]

[]Factions and items added by AI Overhaul to individual npc's are added by this mod too[/]

[]Thanx to sincerity2103 for help with debugging[/]

      Notes for version 2. 2:

      • []Removed items in favor of AI Overhaul SSE SkyPatcher Patch [/]

[]Added more vanilla packages in order to enforce correct sequence[/]

        Notes for version 2. 2. 1:

        • []Removal of all items didn't quite work as expected. Grace to Petrovich i could find the culprits and upload the proper version ;-)[/]

          Notes for version 2. 3. 1:

          • []Added ALL vanilla packages from npcs changed by AI Overhaul. Hopefully the intended sequence by AI Overhaul will be better maintained when using other mods that adds packages and/or changes the position of packages.[/]

            []Corrected a few bugs[/]

            Notes for version 2. 8 :

The optional file has been replaced by the latest version of AI Overhaul SSE SkyPatcher Patch by  sincerity2103.

            Notes for version 3. 0 :

Changes from AI Overhaul 1. 9 forwarded.

            Notes for version 3. 1:

            Indexnumbers of Vignar's packages fixed.

            Notes for version 3. 2:

🤖 AI-enhanced — based on mod data

AI Overhaul SSE SPIDified is a compatibility patch that replaces the need for numerous patches for the popular AI Overhaul mod by using SPID (Spell Perk Item Distributor). It also forwards USSEP packages, but works without USSEP. With 1,166 endorsements and 47,649 downloads, it's a well-received utility for Skyrim Special Edition modders.

✨ Key Features

Eliminates the need for a shipload of patches for AI Overhaul by using SPID.
Forwards USSEP packages, but works even if you don't use USSEP.
Requires the AI Overhaul mod and SPID to function.

📊 Pros & Cons

✅ Pros

  • Community-approved with 1,166 endorsements and 47,649 downloads.
  • Saves you from patch hell—no more juggling dozens of compatibility patches.
  • Works with or without USSEP, so it's flexible for different load orders.

⚠️ Cons

  • Requires both AI Overhaul and SPID as dependencies, so it's not standalone.
  • If you're not using AI Overhaul, this mod is useless to you.
  • Potential compatibility risk with other mods that modify the same AI packages or use SPID for similar purposes.
🎯 Is This For You?
For Skyrim SE modders who use AI Overhaul and are tired of maintaining a ton of patches. If you want a cleaner load order and don't mind adding SPID, this is a must-have. Skip if you don't use AI Overhaul or prefer traditional patch-based setups.
📦 Install:Medium· 5-10 minutes

💡 Beginner Tips

  • Make sure you have the latest version of SPID installed, as this mod relies on it to distribute AI changes.
  • Place this mod after AI Overhaul in your load order to ensure it overwrites correctly.
  • If you use a mod manager like Vortex or MO2, let it handle the file conflicts and check for any overwrite prompts.
