📋 About This Mod

This mod is technically independent from Seeking The Cure, but it makes little sense to use this mod without that one, as story-wise it is a continuation.

How to start?

- Just go through the "Rising At Dawn" quest, fail to be cured and wait a bit. After some time (after your 3rd level up) Falion will contact you with a letter (if he is alive, obviously).

The letter describes more or less the main idea of the mod, so here is the text:

<Alias=Player>, I have made some enquires after our last misfortune and it seems there is a chance to amend your condition, if you are still interested in this. An ex-colleague of mine, from the college - Phinis Gestor - has a theory of a way of reverting such a condition based on its daedric nature. The problem is that to test the theory he needs an essence of daedric origin, and there is no known way of acquiring one. That is there was no way, as we have discussed an opportunity. To put it short, it is probably possible to extract daedric essence from a daedric artifact. But here two other problems arise. First, neither me, nor Phinis own such an artifact. Second, a very potent heat source of magical origin is required to do anything with an item of such power as a daedric artifact. I have no feasible idea of where one can find an artifact, but you seem to have some adventuring experience, so, maybe, you can solve this problem. But as for the second problem - I have an idea. There is a book about the Aetherium wars that talks about the Aetherium forge and this forge almost surely can be used for our goal. Finding it could be not easy, but at least it is clear where to start - locate the book in either the library of the College of Winterhold, or in the Bards College. If you are able to acquire daedric essence, deliver it to Phinis, so he can perform his experiments and, hopefully, confirm his theory. I would be glad to offer you a simpler way, but this seems to be the only one that I can think of. Good luck, Falion.

To make the real cure available you will need FormList Manipulator and that makes the mod almost conflict-proof.

There could be a pesky dialogue bug, but then save and load, the usual drill.

Patches

I have uploaded two not tested patches:

1. For Dawnguard, that makes a dialogue option to cure Serana conditional on you having a cure with you.

2. For A Cure For The Keeper, that makes the dialogue option to cure Carcette conditional as well.

Up to you to get them and test.

All esps are flagged as esl.

📊 Pros & Cons

✅ Pros

  • Solid community backing with 241 endorsements and 341k downloads—clearly a go-to for fans of Seeking The Cure.
  • Fresh update in July 2025 means it's likely compatible with current Skyrim versions.
  • Fills a real gap: if you've played Seeking The Cure, you know the ritual not curing you is a letdown—this fixes that.

⚠️ Cons

  • Requires Seeking The Cure, so it's useless if you haven't installed that mod first.
  • Only one quest path; if you're expecting a sprawling adventure, this is a focused fix.
🎯 Is This For You?
For Skyrim players who've played Seeking The Cure and were frustrated by the incomplete vampirism cure. If you're a completionist who wants to resolve that storyline properly, this is for you. Skip if you haven't installed Seeking The Cure or if you prefer standalone quest mods.

💡 Beginner Tips

  • Make sure you have Seeking The Cure installed and activated before adding this mod, otherwise it won't work.
  • Load this addon after the main mod in your load order to ensure the quest triggers correctly.
  • If you're using a mod manager, let it handle the file placement—manual installs can cause conflicts.
