📋 About This Mod

I looked around for some sound replacements for the Conjuration sound, since I really dislike the metal-like shriek from the game, and since I couldn't find one that didn't make my head hurt, I put one together quickly. I'll post it here for anybody who would like to use it as well.

The source sound was found here; I made a couple of changes to it, but of course, the original source must be listed. Preview image by Derrax.

📊 Pros & Cons

✅ Pros

  • Community-approved with 591 endorsements and over 7,600 downloads.
  • Does exactly what it says—no bloat, just a subtle audio tweak.
  • Great for immersion if the vanilla conjuration sound grates on your ears.

⚠️ Cons

  • Last updated in 2013—may not be compatible with the latest Skyrim version or special editions.
  • No documentation or install instructions provided by the author.
  • Only affects conjuration sounds; if you want broader audio overhauls, look elsewhere.
🎯 Is This For You?
For Skyrim players who love conjuration magic but find the default sound too harsh or loud. If you're a purist who wants a subtle audio improvement without overhauling the whole game, this is for you. Skip if you want comprehensive sound mods or play on the Special Edition without compatibility patches.
📦 Install:Easy· Under 1 minute

💡 Beginner Tips

  • Place the file in your Skyrim/Data folder and activate it in the launcher or mod manager.
  • If you're using a mod manager like Vortex or MO2, just drag and drop the mod and enable it.
  • Test the sound in-game by casting a conjuration spell—if it doesn't work, check that the file path matches the original sound's location.
