📋 About This Mod
Khajiit are bound to the Lunar Lattice, the ja'Kha'jay. The phases of Masser and Secunda at birth determine the form a Khajiit takes in life.
-Jobasha, Interview with Three Booksellers
This mod is an addon for Project ja-Kha'jay- Khajiit Diversity Overhaul to extend the new types of Khajiit to the NPCs of Interesting NPCs.
It will require both Project ja-Kha'jay and Interesting NPCs to work. All 7 furstocks from the original mod are represented here, as well as a few new, unique morphs.
There are 17 different kinds of Khajiit- this mod currently includes 7 additional types to Skyrim's default Khajiit (which I consider Cathay.)
You'll see:
-
[]Pahmar-Raht- "Due to them being the strongest of furstocks, they are usually deployed as bodyguards and warriors.... they resemble Senche-Tigers."
[
]Cathay-Raht- "Khajiit of this furstock were nicknamed as 'jaguar-men' by the Imperial Geographical Society."[]Tojay- "Little is known of the Tojay, except that they live in the southern marshes and jungle regions of Elsweyr, as well as the Tenmar Forest."
[]Ohmes-Raht- "In contrast to men and mer, the body of an Ohmes-raht is covered by light fur, and they do have a tail."
[]Ohmes- "They resemble Bosmer, though they are sometimes shorter. To avoid being mistaken as such, many Ohmes tattoo or paint their faces to resemble a feline aspect."
[]Dagi-Raht- "Physically, they have facial features that are comparable to that of lynxes and are short in stature, making them among the smallest of the furstocks.”
- Suthay-Raht- "They are similar in height and build to the races of man, but likeSuthay, they have digitigrade legs. The Suthay-raht furstock was the most common in Morrowind near the end of the Third Era."
SE Version here.
No armor or playable races are included in this mod.
This only overhauls NPCs.
This mod requires both Project ja-Kha'jay and Interesting NPCs to work.
This addon extends Project ja-Kha'jay to the Khajiit NPCs from Interesting NPCs, giving them the same visual variety and lore-friendly appearance changes. It's a niche cosmetic mod for players who use both mods and want consistency across their Khajiit characters.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Tight integration with Project ja-Kha'jay—if you're already using that, this is a no-brainer for consistency
- Small but active community (122 endorsements, 3k downloads) shows it's got a dedicated following
- Fills a real gap: Interesting NPCs Khajiit were left out of the base mod, and this fixes that
⚠️ Cons
- Requires both Project ja-Kha'jay and Interesting NPCs—if you don't have those, this is useless
- Last updated in January 2022—might have compatibility issues with newer versions of the dependencies
For Skyrim players who already run Project ja-Kha'jay and Interesting NPCs and want their Khajiit NPCs to match the overhauled look. Skip if you don't use both mods or if you're looking for standalone content.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Make sure you have both Project ja-Kha'jay and Interesting NPCs installed and working before adding this—load order matters, so put this after both.
- Use a mod manager like Vortex or MO2 to handle the install and avoid overwriting files manually.
- Check the mod page for any patches or updates if you're on a newer Skyrim version, since the mod hasn't been updated since 2022.
