ABOUT
This mod was requested by a patron and changes the appearance of Brelyna Maryon from the College of Winterhold. It's lightweight and performance friendly, using whatever skin texture and body meshes you have installed. This means that her appearance will depend HEAVILY on how your skin texture mod looks! In my screenshots I use bijin skin.
I have also made a follower version for those that don't want to use the Brelyna replacer. Her name is Nevri and she can be found in the Frozen Hearth inn in Winterhold. Nevri is a storm mage and she's both marriable and essential.
SPECIAL EDITION
COMPATIBILITY
This mod is technically incompatible with anything that edits Brelyna. Don't let that scare you off though - in almost all cases it's perfectly fine to install this on top of another NPC replacer. However, mods like ICOW will need a patch to get the effects from both mods. USLEEP edits have been forwarded.
INSTALLATION & REQUIREMENTS
The mod comes in a FOMOD installer so I highly recommend installing this with a mod manager of your choice - manual installation is not recommended unless you know what you're doing.
Not required but highly recommended: Relationship Dialogue Overhaul and a follower framework mod to get the most out of your followers.
FAQ
Q: She doesn't look the same as in your pictures!
A: I get comments like this a lot, and 9/10 times it's related to the skin texture mod - or lack thereof. This mod does not come with its own skin textures, instead it will use what you have installed.
Q: Can I use both Brelyna and Nevri together?
A: Absolutely! However they do use the same voice, I suggest changing Nevri's voice in the CK/xEdit if you plan to use both her and Brelyna together.
Q: Brelyna is naked!
A: That will happen if you install the "no hood" option on an existing save because her equipped outfit is edited. It's easily fixed by opening the console, targeting the naked NPC and using the resetinventory command.
Q: Help, the faces are messed up/I have the blackface bug/the heads are bald!
A: Rearrange your load order, put this mod near the bottom, or reinstall. Take a look at your load order to see if any of your other mods might be incompatible with this one. Feel free to ask for help in the comments, but please save us both some time and do some troubleshooting on your own first!
Q: Brelyna has a neck gap!
A: If you install this mid playthrough on top of another mod that edits NPC weights, some NPCs will have neck gaps
