📋 About This Mod

By request. Basically lowers the volume of the Thieve\'s Guild Tomb/Door thing. Added a very mininal bit of time stretch and EQ. Basically this means that it will sound better. Time stretch makes higher sounding gear noises have more depth to them. You probably won\'t even be able to tell, I just added it so it would be improved a little. Installiation: Extract. Merge data folder with Skyrim Data folder.

📊 Pros & Cons

✅ Pros

  • Huge community approval (6,326 endorsements) — clearly a lot of players wanted this.
  • Tiny download and install — takes seconds to drop in and forget.
  • Does exactly what it says: no bloat, no extra changes.

⚠️ Cons

  • Only affects the Thieves Guild door — if you wanted other sound tweaks, this won't help.
  • Last updated in 2011 — likely works fine but hasn't been touched in years.
  • No documentation on exact volume reduction or compatibility with sound mods.
🎯 Is This For You?
For Skyrim players who cringe every time that tomb door screeches. If you're doing the Thieves Guild questline and want a quieter experience, this is a no-brainer. Skip if you're looking for broader audio overhauls — this is a one-trick pony.
📦 Install:Easy· Under 1 minute

💡 Beginner Tips

  • Just drop the file into your Data folder or use your mod manager — no load order worries.
  • If you use other sound mods, test this one after them to make sure it overrides correctly.
  • It's a simple sound file replacement, so uninstalling is as easy as deleting the file.
