📋 About This Mod
These are vanilla hair meshes for human races with higher poly count (hence smooth hair), UV tweaks, some tweaks to bone weights and detailed 3d braids.
I'm novice at these things, so the meshes aren't perfect, but I've done it as well as I could.
I just processed these through NIF optimizer, let me know if it works properly.
This mod was inspired by kebrus' Better Vanilla Hair. You can find his mod here.
I have taken a few liberties with a few hairstyles' design, so if you don't like those, there's nothing I can do.
All races except Redguard are covered.
Do let me know if you come across any issues. I hope you like it. :)

📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Community-approved with 1,399 endorsements and over 30k downloads
- Keeps the original vanilla look while adding much-needed detail
- Simple cosmetic upgrade—no gameplay changes to worry about
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated in 2021—might not be compatible with the latest game patches
- Only affects hair, so if you want more variety, this isn't it
For players who love the vanilla hair styles but wish they looked sharper and more detailed. If you're into visual overhauls that stay true to the original art direction, this is a solid pick. Skip if you're looking for new hair styles or gameplay changes.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Since it's a mesh replacer, make sure to place the files in your Data folder or use a mod manager to avoid conflicts.
- Check if your game version is still supported—the mod hasn't been updated since 2021, so test it after a fresh install.
- If you use other hair mods, load order matters; put this one after to ensure it overrides correctly.
