📋 About This Mod
This is simply a texture replacer mod that gives the male and female Forsworn tattoos a 2k highres version, as well as the Blackblood tattoos. I recommend the latest version of Racemenu for the best level of warpaint customization for your character, as well as the use of SKSE and adding the line "iTintTextureResolution=2048" under in your skse.ini
I find that these tints are often left out of highres warpaint replacers entirely so this is my attempt at rectifying that.
Also, since the sixth dark elf warpaint for both genders is my absolute least favorite and I've always wanted to make the unplayable Boethiah cultist tattoo playable, I made a highres Boethiah tattoo for both genders and it replaces that sixth dark elf warpaint. An improvement, in my humble opinion.
Please see the images I have uploaded for a good look at the new paints and feel free to upload your own if you like them!

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Community favorite with 1,468 endorsements and 359,079 downloads.
- Sharp 2k textures that make tattoos pop without overhauling your whole game.
- Covers multiple tattoo sets in one mod—Forsworn, Blackblood, and Boethiah—so you get more bang for your buck.
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated in 2016—might not play nice with the latest Skyrim Special Edition or Anniversary Edition updates.
- Only affects tattoos; if you wanted body or armor retextures, this won't touch them.
For Skyrim players who want their Forsworn and dark elf characters to look more detailed without a full texture overhaul. If you're into role-playing as a Forsworn or just want sharper warpaints, this is a quick win. Skip if you're looking for gameplay changes or full body retextures—this is purely cosmetic.
💡 Beginner Tips
- If you're on Skyrim Special Edition, you may need to port the mod or find an SE version—check the comments for user-made patches.
- Use a mod manager like Vortex or Mod Organizer 2 to install and easily uninstall if you want to revert.
- Load order doesn't matter much for texture replacers, but make sure no other mod overwrites the same tattoo files.
