Combat while jumping

What does this mod do?

This mod lets you attack and block while jumping.

Introduction: I noticed that Skyrim often won´t let me start a new animation until the first one is finished. For example I can not attack while swimming, can not jump while sprinting, and can not attack while jumping. I thought to myself, what happens if I make the animations really short so they are finished faster?

I have zero experience when it comes to creating animation files, so I just made a New -> "Text Document" and named that after the animation, also changing .txt to .hkx

I did not expect that to work... but here it is! Attacking while jumping!

Requirements: Nothing special required to run this mod.

Compatibility: Compatible with everything. The 3rd person files will overwrite jumping animations though, and sound files will overwrite falling sounds. (See Bug section below.)

Bugs: Now I should mention that this method is not really the best and has it´s flaws...

Landing or falling lower than the height you jumped from will cancel weapon swings and bow draws and at this point it will play the "falling sound" on repeat until you land. Leap attacks á la Assassins Creed are therefor sadly not possible. :(

In 3rd person there is no jumping animation anymore, the character will just move up in the air.

I included silenced falling sounds to overcome the sound issue. Landing sounds still work.

Notes: This is a mod without scripts or .esp files.

It works well with magic: Magic attacks seem to not get cancelled.

It works decent with 1h weapons: Fast swings get executed nicely, power attacks might not work each time because of their slowness.

It works bad with 2h weapons and bows: The attack animations won´t finish before you land.

It is still not possible to jump while attacking.

The mod is split into 3 parts and you can choose and combine them to your liking. For example if you want to keep your 3rd Person jump animations you can get only Pt01, which has only 1st Person Combat while jumping and does not touch 3rd Person files.

Outroduction: I tryed the same method of replacing animation files for the attacking while swimming and jumping while sprinting issue, but it didn´t work. :/
