New combat settings won't be applied to her unless you reset her esp with the following way
Retrieve her items which you gave and dismiss her
Skip time until she disappears from the cell where you're now
Create the new save and close skyrim
Uninstall the old version and launch skyrim
Load the save you created above and create the new save again
Install the new version and load the latest save
This seems like a hassle but is the very general way to reset the follower mods
However you shouldn't do it if you've already been married with her
OR after getting a divorce from her with a mod, try the way above..

Unfortunately this way makes her body proportion different from what I intend but fps is more important.
