📋 About This Mod
UPDATE: I made a better version of this mod here. So if you enjoyed this, go check out the improved version. I'll not be supporting this mod at all in the future.
I've started making something similar to this but for different styles and types of armors. If you liked this mod, check out Armor Progression Overhaul.
Nisetanaka (with koffman77, diablio, and someone ) have made a series of pretty great heavy armor. I've noticed a lot of requests for light armor, but let's be honest, the armor is skimpy enough to already pass as light armor. And if you're willing to suspend immersion enough to play with 'heavy armor' that hardly covers anything vital, you're probably ok calling a skimpy iron bikini light armor. I've taken the time to convert all the armors into light and update the stats so that you can progress from one set to the next. From weakest to strongest, they are ordered:
- Banded Iron Bikini
- Steel Bikini
- Wolf Bikini
- Steel Plated Bikini
- Blades Bikini
- Dragonbone Bikini
- Falmer Bikini
I chose this order because this is the natural order of crafting I've noticed while playing. I had to alter Blades crafting materials to make it a little harder to craft. Before it had the same requirements as Steel Plated set. Dragonbone is easier than Falmer to craft IMO due to the player getting assaulted by dragons constantly during the game.
The files are just esp replacers. You'll need to download the regular mods linked above.
If people like the stats, and feel like it helps with a playthrough maybe I'll do it for the heavy versions as well.
Let me know if you find bugs, or if I've clearly made an error with the stats.
v 1. 11: Altered some item stats of Blades Bikini to give higher weight and armor to pieces with more...coverage. v 1. 1: UPDATED WITH BLADES BIKINI
When you replace the esp of a file, then load an existing save, those objects get reloaded into the game which means they can be removed from your inventory. So if you are loading an existing save and any or all of your bikini armor is removed, I'd recommend using AddItemMenu to quickly add them back into your inventory. This mod, like most mods, works best with a new save.
INSTALLATION:
Download the relevant esp and replace the esp from the original mod. So if I were looking to make Banded Iron Bikini light armor, I'd first download and install Banded Iron Bikini from Nisetanaka, then I'd download Banded Iron Bikini - Light Armor file from the files tab here, and overwrite the esp from the original mod. Follow this process for all the armors.
Converts Nisetanaka's Bikini armors to light armor with rebalanced stats, allowing progression from Banded Iron (weakest) to Falmer (strongest). A niche cosmetic and gameplay tweak for Skyrim players who want skimpy armor that remains viable throughout a playthrough. Last updated in 2016, so compatibility with current Skyrim versions is uncertain.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Community-approved with 1,091 endorsements and over 38k downloads—clearly a popular pick.
- Fixes a common issue with skimpy armor mods: they're often too weak or too strong, but this one gives you a progression curve.
- Light armor conversion means it fits into a specific build style, giving you a reason to actually use it.
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated in 2016—might be outdated for the latest Skyrim versions, so expect potential compatibility hiccups.
- Only covers the bikini armors from Nisetanaka, so if you're not into that aesthetic, this mod isn't for you.
For Skyrim players who want to rock Nisetanaka's bikini armors without sacrificing gameplay balance—especially those who prefer light armor builds. If you're looking for a full armor overhaul or more coverage, this isn't it.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Since this mod changes armor stats, make sure to load it after any other armor mods to avoid conflicts.
- If you're using a mod manager, use the preview feature to see the armor models before installing—this is a cosmetic mod, so check if the style suits you.
- The mod was last updated in 2016, so if you're on Skyrim Special Edition, you may need to convert the mod or use a compatibility patch.
