"...Long ago, back when Dragons ruled over Skyrim, the Draconic Brigand, a merciless cult formed by the rabble that worshipped the Dragons as their gods, also had their own heroes. The strongest and brutal were usually chosen to lead among the cult, those warriors would also be blessed by the Dragon Priests themselves. To distinguish them from the common warriors of the cult, they used to forge a steel longsword, portraying a drake eye, symbolizing that their masters were always looking out for them, thus giving them their strenght.
When Alduin was defeated, the Dragons blamed the leaders of the Cult for not being able to hold the Norse attacks against them, the leaders were then burned to ashes by their masters, and the only thing left among the piles of ash and dust was their longswords, these blades scareted through Tamriel, and now can be considered relics of high value to some people..."
The Ashen Nordic Sword is based on the Ashen Warrior Sword from Dark Souls 2

Note: This weapon can't be tempered, all upgrading is made on Anvils and Blacksmith Forges.
Upgrade to +1 consumes: 1 Ashen Nordic Sword, 3 Silver Ingots and 1 Petty Soul Gem(filled)
Upgrade to +2 consumes: 1 Ashen Nordic Sword +1, 5 Silver Ingots and 1 Lesser Soul Gem(Filled)
Upgrade to +3 consumes: 1 Ashen Nordic Sword +2, 3 Quicksilver Ingot and 1 Common Soul Gem (Filled)
Upgrade to +4 consumes: 1 Ashen Nordic Sword +3, 5 Quicksilver Ingot and 1 Greater Soul Gem(Filled)
Upgrade to +5 consumes: 1 Ashen Nordic Sword +4, 1 Centurion Dynamo Core and 1 Grand Soul Gem (Filled)
The sword can be found on Bonestrewn Crest, embbed on the ground just aside of the chest there.
