Description

Seamless Co-op refuses to launch if it isn't on the latest version. Updating means replacing the mod folder and then setting the INI up again from scratch.

SCU checks what the current version is for each game, installs it, and merges your existing settings into the new INI so you don't have to redo them.

Support for other FromSoftware games will be added when their seamless co-op mods complete and get public releases on Nexus/GitHub (Sekiro). So please don't ask me about this!

Installation

• []Unpack the archive anywhere.[/]

  []Windows: run install.ps1 in PowerShell. Linux:

  ./install.sh[/]

  []Open SCU. It scans your Steam libraries on first run.[/]

  []In Preferences, paste a Nexus API key. There's a button there that opens the page to generate one.[/]

  []Select a game and press Install.[/]

  The installer only writes inside your user profile, so it doesn't need admin. It adds SCU-cli to PATH and leaves an uninstaller in the install folder. Run uninstall.ps1 or uninstall.sh to remove it; add -Purge / --purge if you also want your settings gone.

  You can skip the installer and run SCU.exe directly if you'd rather.

  Main features

  • []Settings are merged, not overwritten. Values you changed are kept, values you never touched follow the new defaults, settings added by an update appear in place with their comments, and anything removed is listed rather than disappearing quietly. Your own comments and spacing are left alone.[/]

    []Installs are backed up first and rolled back if they fail. The last three backups per game are kept.[/]

    []Steam libraries are scanned across all drives. If a game isn't found, you can point at its folder.[/]

    []Changelogs per version, current release pinned to the top, installed version marked.[/]

    []Launch, Repair and Remove. Launch updates first if it needs to.[/]

    []Co-op password and save extension can be applied to every installed game at once.[/]

    SCU-cli --launch eldenring //auto-updates the mod if needed while retaining setting before launchingHINT: You can write a script that the --launch arg and then add it to your Steam library to have a seamless co-op launcher which auto-updates! Handy![/]

    Windows and Linux (not until I do some testing myself, but the native binaries exist), no runtime to install.

    Requirements

      []A Nexus API key. Free accounts work; Premium accounts get direct downloads. Without a key SCU falls back to the author's GitHub releases, which exist for some of these mods but not all of them.[/]
