Mod Size Tooltips adds a powerful quality-of-life feature to Mod Organizer 2:

whenever you hover your mouse over any mod in the list, the tooltip instantly shows:

✔ Total number of files in the mod

✔ Total size of all files

✔ File breakdown by extension:

• textures, meshes, scripts, dlls, ini, hkx, nif, bsa, and every other file type

✔ Size and count per file type

✔ Auto-refreshing tooltip — updates instantly when scanning finishes

✔ Zero UI freezes — the scanning runs in a safe async thread

✔ Smart caching — mods are scanned only once unless their files change

This plugin integrates seamlessly into the MO2 interface and provides a clear, structured overview of every mod’s content right where you need it — on hover, without opening the mod folder.

Just hover over any mod — the tooltip displays:

- Total file count

- Total size

- File categories

- File type breakdown (by extension)

- Human-readable sizes (KB, MB, GB)

⚡ Live Tooltip Refresh

If a mod hasn’t been scanned yet, the tooltip shows “Scanning…”.

As soon as the scan completes, the tooltip updates immediately, even without moving the cursor.

🧠 Smart Caching

Each mod is scanned only once.

If no files have changed, the plugin displays cached results instantly.

🧵 Fully Asynchronous

All scanning runs in background threads:

- No UI stutter

- No blocking the MO2 interface

- Every scan wrapped in safe try/except
