📋 About This Mod
Mod organizer 2 syntax highlighing language, visually useful when tracking your own modlists.txt and plugins.txt, and its backup files
Description
MO2 Tracker Extension description
NOT A MO2 PLUGIN, BUT A LOCAL EXTENSION FOR VSCODE!
MODDERS / PROGRAMMERS ONLY
Adds a syntax highlighting language that improves your coding experience. Tracking your modlist means adding the mods you normally install with your MO2, but in your backup modlist so that its mod order (even backup mods, separators and comments) helps you when importing your modlist.txt and plugins.txt.
The loadorder.txt includes all DLCs, CCs, and mod plugins. You paste ONLY plugins you have (ESM, ESL, ESP) from your plugins.txt!
That's why loadorder.txt is not highlighted, though it's optional. Our focus is modlist.txt and plugins.txt!
If you really want loadorder.txt, then it's manually added in files associations in settings.json, like any other filenames!
Installation instructions
1. Install MO2 Tracker through VSIX, activates automatically
2. Open Settings.json
3. Paste the token codes and files associations (If you have many afterwards, add a , at the end of the brackets {} !)
4. Restart vs code with Ctrl+R if necessary
5. Open your modlist.txt and/or plugins.txt. In this case, plain text is default from .txt extension. Change the language file to MO2 Tracker.
6. Enjoy tracking your own modlist!

Requirements
Visual Studio Code 1. 124. 0+
Shout outs
Microsoft, AI because building a language support alone was complicated yet good thing to learn, MO2 and NexusMods.
I can't quarantee that the extension can be published in Microsoft / vscode extension site... Since it's a simple extension you install locally, maybe you find it useful for your workflow... Have fun coding.
