Because generic executable tools are game-agnostic and belong in Nexus's dedicated Modding Tools category rather than individual game sections, the previous pages were retired. MO2 Toolbox is the complete reimagining of all three tools — unified into a single blazing-fast native binary, sharing a unified dark theme, and expanded with months of community feedback and new features, now including ModMancer as the fourth core module.

You will likely see a "Windows protected your PC" dialog the first time you run the EXE.

Why? The file is an open-source, community-built executable without an expensive commercial code-signing certificate — totally normal for small independent modding tools.

Description & Purpose

While LOOT manages your plugin load order (plugins.txt), Remo manages your left-pane install order (modlist.txt). Left-pane priority dictates which loose textures, meshes, scripts, audio files, and patches take precedence in your game.

Dragging and dropping hundreds of mods manually across separators is tedious and error-prone. MO2 Toolbox gives you complete, mathematically provable control over your load order, safeguards your disk space, lets you track exactly what every mod install or external patcher changes on disk, and now lets you intelligently move dormant mods to cold storage without disrupting your active setup.
