Manage your Unreal Engine game's GameUserSettings.ini and Engine.ini from one Windows app. Start with a quality profile, adjust individual settings, and keep a backup you can restore. Your settings stay on your PC.

Close the game before applying or restoring. The app makes each INI it writes read-only, which can prevent the game from saving changes made in its menus. See Backups and restore below.

START WITH YOUR GAME / QUICK START

• []Download Engine-Tweaks-Tool-0. 3. 0-beta. 7-win32-x64.zip and extract the entire folder. Keep its companion files together.[/]

  []Run Engine Tweaks Tool.exe. You do not need Node.js, npm or administrator setup.[/]

  []Open Games. Use Scan for games to find saved configurations, or Refresh installed games for the Steam/Epic list. Choose your game and confirm its config folder if asked; you can also select a folder manually. If the game has never saved settings, launch and exit it yourself first, then scan again.[/]

  []In Quick settings, choose Potato, Low, Medium, High or Epic. Add the preferences you want. Use Customize for individual settings.[/]

  []Open Review, check the game, file paths and before/after values, then confirm Apply changes.[/]

  []Launch the game yourself and compare the result. Close it before another Apply or restore.[/]

  Engine.ini missing?

  Stage an eligible setting and check Review. Apply creates the file when needed. Choosing a game, scanning an EXE or selecting a profile only prepares your setup; those actions do not write game files.

  CHOOSE A PROFILE, THEN ADD YOUR PREFERENCES

  • []Potato / Low / Medium / High / Epic: choose the quality tradeoff you want. Full profile combines supported existing quality groups with eligible Engine settings. Engine-only leaves the profile's quality-group edits out.[/]

    []Clean visuals, No fog and No sharpening: add supported image preferences on top of your profile. Changing quality keeps your add-ons and manual choices.[/]

    []Performance: try an experimental set of texture and level-loading work budgets. It can spread work across frames, but may delay asset detail or readiness, or make some workloads worse.[/]

    []Reduced thread lag: a separate render-thread-overlap preference. Less overlap can reduce throughput or worsen spikes. Compare it separately from Performance.[/]

    []Your own presets: save, load, update, rename, import and export reusable value presets.[/]

    A small change count does not mean a small profile. Some rules may already match your files; others need evidence the app does not have for this game. Open Setup details · matching values & skipped rules, or a preference's What changes, for the breakdown.

    Add-ons replace overlapping profile values; manual choices take priority over both. Removing an add-on keeps settings still requested by another selected option. Review the result before applying.

    Performance gains are unverified. These options do not promise higher FPS, lower latency, a universal anti-stutter fix or lossless performance. Compare the same scene or route with one change at a time.

    FINE-TUNE BOTH FILES

    Switch between GameUserSettings.ini and Engine.ini in Customize. Use documented choices, exact Custom values, search, help and the expandable file preview. Existing unknown values and repeated entries remain available in the file view.

    EXE scanning reads candidate variable names without starting or injecting into the game. Steam/Epic discovery can locate an unambiguous game binary; you can choose the EXE when it cannot. A name match does not prove that the game accepts a value or
