DDS Header Generator

With this tool you can create from RAW or other textures normal DDS file for game resource researching or modding creation

1. Run EXE file

2. Press "Open File" button and select a file or "Open Folder" button to select a folder

3. Select a parametrs to cut texture from your file (offset, height, width, mip count, is cubemap and codec)

4. Press "Save file(s)" button to save one or more file in one codec, which selected in the interface, or press "Save All Types" to save single file in all codecs

5. Near to EXE file create out folder with saved images

TEXTURE RESEARCHING

To researching game textures, you also can use this tool.

1. Install any program, to preview DDS files into windows explorer. For example, you can install image redactor Paint. Net

2. With "Select File" button select one file for researching

3. Select parametres: offset, height, width, mip count, is cubemap

4. Press "Save All Types" button

5. In "out" folder will be save many files with all supported codecs

6. If you install program to preview DDS files, you can see textures preview. If textures saved broken, you see nothing or digital noise instead preview

7. Try other parametrs, while you find parameter, which one or more images can readeble in "out" folder

8. If you can use a HEX-redactor, you can try find any parametres into binary code of textures
