Silent Hill f Potato Tweak

Installation (Easy)

• []Extract Engine.ini

  %LOCALAPPDATA%\SHf\Saved\Config\Windows\...here....

[](Optional but recommended) Also put a copy into:

  %LOCALAPPDATA%\SHf\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor\...here...

[]Right-click each Engine.ini → Properties → Check Read-only. This prevents the game from overwriting it on launch.

[]Launch the game. If the game resets or overwrites settings, try placing the file into the WindowsNoEditor folder and reapply Read-only.

• []For unlocked framerate, edit GameUserSettings.ini and set FrameRateLimit=0 (or use the in-game framerate cap).

[]Use Exclusive Fullscreen for best frame pacing (FullscreenMode=0) and disable VSync if you have a VRR monitor (G-Sync / FreeSync).

[]Do NOT set ScreenPercentage below 100 if you want real pixel clarity — use the upscaler instead (TSR/DLSS/FSR).

[]If the game’s update resets the file, you may need to reapply after updates.

• []If the Game still overwrites Engine.iniSet file to Read-only

[]Shimmering on thin geometry: reduce r. TSR. Sharpness to 0. 8 or increase r. TemporalAA. FilterSize to 1. 0.

[]Hitches entering new maps: increase s. IoDispatcherBufferMemoryMB (e.g., to 96) and r. Streaming. MaxTempMemoryAllowed to 150.

• []Free to use and redistribute. Do NOT upload modified versions as “official” without credit
