Speed Boats WIP

Nearly all the other vehicles can go fast apart from Boats, so this mod is to bridge the gap a little

I have had very little time to mod lately(about 1 hour for past 10 days), This is a WIP but the core feature is working so figured i'd upload for now.  This way of modding the speed only works up to a certain point before it stops working, so its rudimental but it works.  I tried a higher speed variant for barba, but once hits a certain point it stops.  Ideally would like to get that over 100km/h also.  Driving skill only has a very small effect on the speed, but not very noticeable.

I tested on waves with the barba, was fun and a bit sketchy lol.

Functions that are working.

Barba speed increase averages anywhere from 60-64km/h sort of steady but can go upto 75km/h with ideal conditions

Dinghy Speed increase averages around 120-125km/h but can go up to around 140km/h with ideal conditions

The main boats Variant has both, but added separate files for individual boats too if only want one.

Planned Changes when i get time:

Increase Turning speed for the vehicles, the Barba isn't too bad but the dinghy has very little turn

Better speed for the Barba, i think to increase this will be much more complex modding

Probably more changes if i get time to implement.

Requirements(Please Read)

Working in both single player and running on private server.

Mod must be installed on both Server and client to work properly

If mod is only installed on server then no changes will happen

Single player Installation instructions:

• []Download the mod and extract anywhere, then copy the file[/]

  []Open Scum Directory and go to SCUM\Content\Paks[/]

  []Right click, New > Folder, Rename folder "~mods"[/]

  []Paste the file[/]

  Running the mod Safely and bypassing battleye

  • []Open Scum Directory, go to SCUM\Binaries\Win64. [/]

    []Right click SCUM.exe and go to Send to > Desktop (create shortcut)[/]

    []Right click shortcut on desktop and go to Properties[/]

    []After quotations add ( -fileopenlog -nobattleye)  remove brackets, make sure a space after quotations from file.  [/]

  the -nobattleye isn't necessary due to running via the .exe bypasses Battleye so it doesn't load, but might make you feel safer :).

  Press Apply and you're ready to go.

  ( DON'T OPEN GAME VIA LAUNCHER OR CLICKING SCUM FROM STEAM LIBRARY WHEN HAVE MODS IN THE FOLDER, AS ANTI-CHEAT CANT DETECT DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MODS AND CHEATS CURRENTLY)

  Note to keep in mind, as a safe precaution i cut and remove the ~mods folder to elsewhere when i'm finished playing.  That way if i want to play on official servers or Private with anti-cheat then i can via normal launcher having no issues with battleye.  Can ignore this if just playing single player or you're private server with no battleye and running via shortcut
