Installation instructions

KzillaCrosshair + UE4SS - drag & drop install for SCUM

1) Exit SCUM completely.

2) Extract this zip into your Steam SCUM folder:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\SCUM

Merge/overwrite when asked.

Final paths should look like:

...\SCUM\SCUM\Binaries\Win64\dwmapi.dll

...\SCUM\SCUM\Binaries\Win64\ue4ss\UE4SS.dll

...\SCUM\SCUM\Binaries\Win64\ue4ss\Mods\KzillaCrosshair\

3) IMPORTANT - BattlEye / how to launch

Turning BattlEye off in Steam is NOT enough. Steam does not fully

stop BattlEye that way, and UE4SS will not work reliably.

You must launch SCUM from a desktop shortcut with these parameters:

a) Browse to:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\SCUM\SCUM\Binaries\Win64\SCUM.exe

b) Right-click SCUM.exe -> Send to -> Desktop (create shortcut)

c) Right-click the new desktop shortcut -> Properties

d) In Target, AFTER the quotes, add a space and then:

-nobattleye -fileopenlog

Example Target line:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\SCUM\SCUM\Binaries\Win64\SCUM.exe" -nobattleye -fileopenlog

e) Apply / OK, then always start the game from that shortcut

(do not use the normal Steam Play button for modding).

4) Enter the island - the custom crosshair appears in the center.

Ctrl+Shift+R  Toggle on/off

Ctrl+Shift+O  Next crosshair style

Ctrl+Shift+I  Next color

Ctrl+Shift+E  Bigger

Ctrl+Shift+Q  Smaller

SCUM\Binaries\Win64\ue4ss\Mods\KzillaCrosshair\Config.lua

Delete SCUM\Binaries\Win64\dwmapi.dll and SCUM\Binaries\Win64\ue4ss\
