Installation Instructions:

1. Navigate to your SCUM Paks directory:

`SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\SCUM\SCUM\Content\Paks`

2. Create a new folder inside the Paks directory and name it `~mods` (if it doesn't already exist).

3. Drop the `.pak` files into your new `~mods` folder.

Steam Launch Options Required:

For the game to load these mods, you must add specific launch options. In your Steam Library, right-click SCUM -> Properties -> General -> Launch Options, and add the following:

-fileopenlog -nobattleye

Why are these required?

-fileopenlog: This command forces the Unreal Engine to recognize and load the custom `.pak` files we placed in the ~mods folder.

-nobattleye: BattlEye anti-cheat will automatically block any modified game files. You must disable it to play with mods.

Single Player & Multiplayer Viability

- Single Player: These mods work perfectly in Single Player. Once installed and launched with the options above, you are good to go!

- Multiplayer (Dedicated Servers): You CANNOT join official servers or any servers with BattlEye enabled while using these mods. You can only join community servers that have explicitly disabled BattlEye (`bDisableBattleye=1` in their server settings). Description
