Simple QoL

Description

Simple QoL is a small collection of quality-of-life features.

The mod improves several inconvenient parts of the game without significantly changing its original balance or gameplay. Every feature can be configured individually through the in-game settings tab.

Simple QoL works independently and does not require any multiplayer mod. It is designed to function in single-player and remain compatible when playing as either the host or a client with "Casualties Together" installed.

this page was originally for "Liquid Transfer no tooltip", but it's been updated to the current mod name, and its original features have been merged into this QoL mod! :)

Installation instructions

Main features

Improved climbing assistance

No more falling off ropes, vines, or ladders by mistake or due to bugs!

Makes nearby ropes, ladders, and other climbable objects easier to grab while holding W

Prioritizes the closest climbable object when several are nearby.

Configurable range from 1. 5m to 3. 0m in 0. 1m increments.

Drops the item currently under the mouse cursor with a configurable key.

Supports regular inventory slots, equipped items, and items inside bags or containers.

Optional favorite protection prevents favorited items from being dropped accidentally.

Quick All Pickup

Picks up nearby items with a single configurable key.

Configurable pickup range from 1m to 5m.

Optional efficiency sorting prioritizes compatible containers and lower encumbrance multipliers.

Automatic scrap metal merging

Automatically combines scrap metal stacks toward a usable condition of at least 90%.

Prefers results between 90% and 97% while avoiding wasteful combinations above the limit.

Blueprint screen suppression

Blueprints are still used normally and recipes are unlocked.

Prevents the crafting menu from automatically popping up afterward.

Force mouse-facing direction

no longer have to suffer from a locked field of view while using a headlamp.

Prevents nearby corpses, traps, turrets, enemies, and similar targets from overriding the character’s facing direction.
