Casualties Unknown - Player Sprite Replacer

A small hobby mod for Casualties Unknown that swaps your character's body and head sprites at runtime using BepInEx. Single-player, numpad-driven.

  The game is still in demo — file layouts can change between versions, which may break the mod until it's updated.

  This is a hobby project I made for fun. If the game creator Orsoniks does not want this mod public, please contact me and I will take it down.

  Installation

  1. Prerequisite

  Install BepInEx 5 if you haven't already — official guide: https://docs.bepinex.dev/articles/user_guide/installation/index.html

  2. The mod

  • []Open the mod archive and look inside

    body-sprite-replacer/plugins.[/]

    []Copy its contents into your game's

    BepInEx/pluginsfolder — the same folder used by other mods. You should end up with the Player Sprite Replacer DLL and a

    CustomSpritesdirectory.[/]

    []Start the game.[/]

    Usage

    • []In-game, press Numpad 1 through 9 to instantly switch between different character sprites.[/]

      []The mod looks for sprites in

      CustomSprites/st1through

      CustomSprites/st9.[/]

      []No numpad?

      st1is loaded automatically on startup, so drop your preferred skin into

      st1and you're set.[/]

        Making your own sprites

        • []Back up the

          Headfolders inside the

          st9slot you're going to modify.[/]

          []Replace the PNGs with your own art.[/]

          []Keep the file names exactly the same — sprites are matched by file name; renaming them breaks replacement.[/]

          []Try to match the original image dimensions. I haven't tested what happens when they don't, so YMMV.[/]
