No More Moodles

Description

Do you hate it when the game tells you what you are feeling? Do you like being paranoid and oblivious at the same time? Would you prefer if expie vagueposted about the onset water-intoxication that is about to kill you? After all, if you can't see them, surely they aren't real. You can even change the severity/difficulty between; blank moodles, no moodles, and even no moodles plus no screen effects.

Installation instructions

Add "NoMoreMoodles.dll" to  "...\Casualties Unknown Demo\BepInEx\plugins".

Preferably in a folder called "No More Moodles" or any name you want.

Main features

This will stop all moodles from showing up. Note the moodles are separate to the actual state of expie, this mod just stops the function that they call to appear. This will include any moodles from other mods. This mod comes with 3 different challenges. Note that these don't include the health panel, so that info is still there, and still effected by unchipped.

You can select one of these for each run in the custom run settings tab. It will also be in the save file.

All moodles look the same. Use your knowledge and  memory of how many there were to evaluate what you have.

Moodles are hidden. Use environmental context, and your Expies body and dialogue to find out what is wrong.

NoMoodles but with many of the screen effects turned off, your only info is your expie's fur, voice, and ability to continue on.

Commands

There is 2 unique commands for this mod.

NM_FlashMoodles

This will temporarily display your current moodles for 5 seconds. Does not change actual setting. Player specific.

NM_SetChallenge <challenge>

Allows you to change what challenge is active for the current session. Player specific.

NM_SetChallengeAll <challenge> (only exists if MP is active)

Allows you to change what challenge is active for the current session. Player specific for multiplayer runs.

Config Options

(You must open the game first for it to appear)

You can manually change a few things in the config file "Nexivyfulff. NoMoreMoodles" which can be found in "...\BepInEx\config".

No_Moodles: Changes the default challenge when you try to start a run. (this does not effect current runs).

Screen_Effects_Hook: If you have trust issues, it is the most likely to cause problems so just in case.

Verbose_Logging: Lets the mod spam the BepInEx outputlog every time it blocks moodles. It will flood the outputlog if you let it.

Extra

The text from this mod can (mostly) be localized. You can change the text in it by adding entries to your language json in "...\CasualtiesUnknown_Data\Lang". Reading the file will make the format clear. For the run settings menu, in other; "runsetNoMoodles", "runsetNoMoodlesdsc", "runsetNoMoodlesDisabled", "runsetNoMoodlesBlank", "runsetNoMoodlesNoMoodles" and "runsetNoMoodlesNoEffects". For the blank moodles, in moodles; "haze" and "hazedsc".

Requirements

Own the Casualties Unknown Demo.

Have BepInEx installed.
