CU Turbo Jetpack

A scratch-built twin-tank thruster worn on your back, with a real flight model and a fuel tank that only refills with your feet on the ground.

  []Double-tap jump and hold to burn; release to cut the engine.[/]

  []The tank holds about 6 seconds of continuous thrust, and only re-pressurizes while you are standing on solid ground, what you take into the air is all the air time you get.[/]

  []A floating fuel gauge appears over your head: green to amber to red, flashing on fumes.[/]

  []Low tank makes the burn pulse and stutter. A wet engine misfires. A worn engine coughs.[/]

  []A small tool pouch riveted between the tanks softens the loss of your backpack slot.[/]

  Which file do I download?

  • []All-in-one (with BepInEx) - the mod plus the loader that runs it. Pick this if you have never modded this game before. Nothing else needed.[/]

    []Plugin only - just the mod. Pick this if you already run other mods for this game, or you use a mod manager.[/]

  Not sure? Open the folder with CasualtiesUnknown.exe in it. If you see a BepInEx folder and a winhttp.dll file, you already have the loader and want the plugin-only file.

  Installation

  All-in-one: extract everything into the folder containing CasualtiesUnknown.exe, say yes to merging, and launch the game. That is the whole process.

  Plugin only: extract into that same folder so the mod lands at BepInEx\plugins\CUJetpack.dll, then launch.

  Installing the all-in-one over an existing BepInEx setup is safe - it only puts the same loader files back, and does not touch your configs or your other mods.

  Mod managers: install either archive as-is. Both are laid out from the game root.

    []BepInEx 5 (x64) - included in the all-in-one download. Only needed separately if you take the plugin-only file.[/]

    Compatibility

    Safe alongside the other Casualties Unknown mods on my profile.

    Not working?

    • []No BepInEx\LogOutput.log after launching the game means the loader never started. winhttp.dll has to sit directly next to CasualtiesUnknown.exe - if you extracted into a subfolder, move the files up one level.[/]

      []Some antivirus tools quarantine winhttp.dll, since hooking the game is exactly what it does. Restore it and add an exclusion.[/]

      []Steam users: right-click the game, Properties, Installed Files, Browse, to find the real game folder.[/]

      []If the log exists but the mod is missing from it, check the file really is at BepInEx\plugins\CUJetpack.dll and not nested one folder too deep.[/]

      Uninstall

      Delete BepInEx\plugins\CUJetpack.dll. No game files are modified, so nothing else needs undoing.

      Notes

      Everything is patched in memory at load through Harmony - your game install is left untouched.
