Better Voice Chat

Description

Improves multiplayer voice chat by adding extra VC audio processing features like background noise suppression and perceptual mic volume control. The mod is fully client-side and doesn't have any known incompatibilities with other mods.

Installation instructions

• []Install BepInEx if you don't already have it (at least v5. 0. 0, but not v6. 0. 0 or above)[/]

  []Install Casualties: Together (and pray that this mod is up-to-date with the latest version)[/]

  []Download the BetterVoiceChat.zip file provided on this mod page[/]

  []Unzip it, you should have a BetterVoiceChat folder with a bunch of .dll files in it[/]

  []Drop the entire folder as-is into BepInEx/plugins in your local game folder[/]

  []If that fails, try again from scratch in a couple of different ways (reinstalling your game and mods may help)[/]

  []If even that fails, contact RikuTheKiller via the Casualties Unknown Modding Community Discord[/]

  Main features

  • []Toggleable background noise suppression (works against the majority of steady noise like vacuum cleaners, cooling fans, etc.)[/]

    []Perceptual mic volume slider (scales much better than the default mic volume slider, e.g. 200% = properly twice as loud, be wary of cranking it too high as it may cause audio clipping)[/]

    Requirements

    The mod currently doesn't work natively on Linux.
