HotbarTen - Ten Slots and Expanded Quick Wheel

Ten real hotbar slots

HotbarTen expands the hotbar from eight to ten actual inventory slots, in addition to your backpack. The new slots default to 9 and 0. It adds Quick Access Slot 9/10 settings rows and expands the quick-select wheel to ten slices. Includes matching inventory and gravestone capacities so standard-mode death drops continue to work.

Supported release

PC Game Pass / Xbox app on Windows (tested build 100. 4. 0. 0) with a compatible UE4SS installation. Tested with UE4SS 3. 0. 1-gf6d5f942. This is not an Xbox console mod. Steam client compatibility has not been runtime-tested and is not claimed for this release. Game updates may require new native bridge signatures.

Confirmed in gameplay

New and existing characters in local worlds; placing and using items in slots 9/10; saving and reloading; ten-slice quick wheel; settings entries; standard death drops. A modded Game Pass client was also tested against a native Linux dedicated server for item use and reconnect persistence. Controller-specific remapping still needs broader testing.

Client installation

1. Close Dragonwilds and let cloud syncing finish.

2. Back up your character and world saves.

3. Install UE4SS for the PC Game Pass edition if needed.

4. Extract the GamePass download.

5. Copy HotbarTen into Content/RSDragonwilds/Binaries/WinGDK/ue4ss/Mods inside your game installation.

6. Start the game and use 9 and 0 for the new slots.

Use manual installation if your mod manager deploys to Win64 instead of WinGDK. No fixed drive letter or PowerShell installer is required. UE4SS is not bundled.

Dedicated servers

Use the separate DedicatedServer download. Stop the server, back up saves, then copy HotbarTenServer into its UE4SS Mods folder and restart. Every participating client also needs the matching HotbarTen client mod. Native Linux requires a compatible community UE4SS port; do not install the Windows client DLLs on Linux. The server companion is Lua and has been tested on native Linux; other server platforms are unverified.

Compatibility and removal

Mods changing inventory capacities, native hotbar code or the quick wheel may conflict. Mouse-wheel scrolling is not included. Before uninstalling or joining an unmodded server, empty slots 9 and 10 into normal storage and save normally. Close the game/server before removing the mod. Keep a save backup when changing inventory mods.
