First Person VR (Config file and PDF Guide)

Since release, Shadow of Rose could only be played in third-person VR, but that is no longer the case. NDRW0 created a mod called "RE8 Shadows Of Rose DLC - VR First Person". If you play sitting or standing - using the right controller stick to turn instead of physically turning in place - that mod delivers almost perfect first-person VR experience, very close to the main game.

However, installation and setup can be tricky, and the instructions aren't fully clear. That is why I decided to share my own config file (packed as a mod) along with a comprehensive PDF guide. In the guide, I explain what changes I made in REFramework and why, so you can easily tweak the settings further to fit your own preferences.

⚙️ How to Install First Person VR - Config:

• []Download RE8 Shadows Of Rose DLC - VR First Person 1. 2. 6. (because 1. 2. 7. doesn't work properly). And put the ZIP file in the Flufy Mod Manager Mods folder.  ➡️ LINK

  Fluffy Mod Manager\Games\RE8\Mods[/]

  []Then download my First Person VR - Config mod and place its ZIP file into the same folder: [/]

  []Then enter the Fluffy mod manager and FIRST install the RE8 Shadows Of Rose DLC - VR First Person 1. 2. 6, AND THEN install my First Person VR - Config mod. [/]

  VR Hands fix

  Once you successfully launch the game in first-person VR, you will notice that Rose's hands look strange - they are covered in veins and are partially black. This happens because, in the flat (non-VR) version, these veins only appear when Rose uses her powers, but in VR, they are permanently visible. Additionally, the black part of her arm is supposed to be hidden under her sleeve in the flat game, but it gets exposed in VR.

  This VR Hands - Rose mod fixes that issue by removing the veins and the black textures, giving Rose normal, clean hands throughout your VR playthrough.

  ⚙️ How to Install VR Hands fix:

  • []Place the ZIP file into the Fluffy Mod Manager directory:

    Fluffy Mod Manager\Games\RE8\Mods[/]

    []Open Fluffy Mod Manager, find the mod in the list, and toggle it on to install.[/]
