📋 About This Mod
++Update 01/11/2022++
i f#@king finally figured out, how to fix the errors with the textures and now the shotgun shells are proper, as they should be.
As an added bonus:
Because i had to screw around with the textures to color the shells green, i accidentally increased the brightness of the texture overall.
Don't know if it's better but it made some details like dirt and rust more visible. Kind of like it that way, so i'm gonna' upload it as an optional texture too.
--------------------------------------------------------------
it ain't perfect, it has a few issues with textures but f#@k it, i'm gonna' release it anyway:
The Benelli M3 Shotgun, ported from Resident Evil 3 to Resident Evil 8 Village to replace the Winchester M1897 Trenchgun.
I simply hate guns, that look older than World War 2 but i also dislike firearms post 9/11. For me, the M3 from Resident Evil 3 hit the right sweet spot:
It looks old enough with its wooden stock to fit within the setting of the old village, still modern enough to feel comfortable to use and it's a sporting/hunting shotgun. So it makes sense to be present in this old, european village in the middle of nowhere.
As stated above, the gun ain't perfect:
Due to the fact, that i still am unable to properly edit textures, the gun is missing texture for shotgun shells, inserted into the gun.
However, since reloading happens rather quickly, you'll barely notice it.
It's also missing the texture for the upgraded trigger, but who's gonna' notice it anyway?
It comes with the following features:
- fully animated model
- can have either the short or long tube, if you don't want a magical explanation, why a 5 shot tube holds 13+ shells
What's missing:
- no custom texture for trigger upgrade
- no custom inventory icons
- no custom name
