📋 About This Mod
REFramework Build Fix for Resident Evil Requiem v1. 1. 2. 0
This is a working build of REFramework compiled from praydog's latest master branch (commit 5785f07) with a one-line CMake fix that resolves the linker error blocking the official nightly release.
WHAT WAS BROKEN:
Praydog's latest commit "IntegrityCheckBypass (RE9): Use emulation for PE header check" introduced the bdshemu emulation library for the PE header integrity check bypass. The code compiles correctly, but the bdshemu library was not linked in the CMake build configuration for the RE9 target, causing an LNK2019 unresolved external symbol error. The official nightly CI build (Dev Release #1296) failed because of this.
Added bddisasm and bdshemu to the RE9 target_link_libraries in CMakeLists.txt. That's it. No code changes whatsoever. All the actual reverse engineering and anti-tamper bypass work is 100% praydog's.
COMPATIBILITY:
- Resident Evil Requiem v1. 1. 2. 0 on Steam (NA/English)
- Other regions or storefronts are untested
INSTALLATION:
1. Copy dinput8.dll into your game folder next to re9.exe
2. Launch the game normally
3. Press Insert to open the REFramework overlay
4. Do NOT extract any other files into the game folder unless you are using VR
VERIFIED WORKING PATCHES:
- BushClover sus_constants bypass
- Slow path discriminator (thread scheduler corruptor) bypass
- PE header integrity check bypass via emulation
- Job queue validation hooks
- Anti-debug watcher
KNOWN NON-CRITICAL ISSUES:
- Stack destroyer pattern not found (game runs stable without it)
- Some DD2-specific patterns fail (expected, those are not for RE9)
All credit goes to praydog for creating REFramework and doing all the reverse engineering work on RE9's anti-tamper system. This upload is purely a build fix to get the community unblocked while waiting for the official nightly update.
