RE4VR Mercenaries Fix

IMPORTANT!!!

THIS MOD MAKES LEON COMPLETELY INVISIBLE GLOBALLY. The RE4VR mod won’t work as intended in Campaign mode. This mod is intended for people who want to jump straight into Mercenaries.

Description

This is a partial fix for Mercenaries mode in VR, as it removes Leon’s body entirely. I couldn’t figure out how to keep the model, but since the original RE4VR mod release leaves Leon’s body visible and can break the mode, this is currently the best way to actually enjoy it, although it is still unfinished.

Installation instructions

Drag and drop the .zip file into Fluffy Mod Manager and enable it.

Requirements

-RE4VR mod, obviously.

-First-person perspective mod is recommended so you don’t see weird third-person animations with an invisible Leon.

Tips and things to know

At the moment, only Leon is properly supported. Other characters will still have visible body models. If you want to use them, you can try the Headless Mercenaries mod as a quick fix, combined with OVR to adjust the camera offset and raise your view above the character models.

Enabling Mayhem Mode

It can be tricky. You will need a program called Xpadder. It allows you to map controller buttons to keyboard keys, which is useful since there is no default controller mapping for Mayhem Mode.

I attached the download link for Xpadder and my custom profile to enable it by pressing LS and RS, but I’m not sure if it will work for every setup, so I’m providing a guide as well.

  []Go to the controller detection section [/]

  []Keep Xpadder running in the background (do not minimize it) [/]

  []Click the Resident Evil VR window and press the buttons you want to map [/]

In my case, I kept controls as vanilla as possible and only mapped LS and RS.

Now the important part:

• []In Set 1, map LS to switch to Set 2 while held [/]

  []In Set 2, map RS to CTRL [/]

That’s it.

Now you can activate Mayhem Mode by pressing both sticks at the same time during gameplay. Make sure Set 1 is selected in Xpadder and that RE4 is the active window by clicking on it. Otherwise, it won’t work.
