This mod enables two players to experience Resident Evil 4 Remake together by syncing both games in real time. Your partner joins your game, and you progress through the campaign simultaneously. It maintains synchronization of enemies, story events, doors, switches, alarms, and many other elements between both players' machines. Since Resident Evil 4 was originally designed as a single-player game, achieving this level of synchronization between two separate game copies is a highly complex technical challenge.

Do I need port forwarding to host a Direct Connect game?

If you're using Radmin, Hamachi, or ZeroTier, no. Just host and share your VPN IP with the other player. This is the easiest way and what we recommend.

If you want to connect by direct IP over the internet without a VPN, then yes. The host needs to forward port 39000 (UDP) in their router settings and share their public IP. Only the host has to do this, the person joining doesn't need to change anything.

KNOWN ISSUES (Acknowledged by Developer)

[]Lag at Certain Points:

The mod scans areas to sync gimmicks and objects, causing frame drops at times. This is a known issue being actively improved. Using other mods that spawn many enemies can worsen lag because of the combined load. In the normal story, lag is usually less noticeable.[/]
