📋 About This Mod
A Lua file that optimizes FOV without shifting markers. Fixes also the inventory zoom.
Description
This Lua file multiplies all incoming FOV values of the game except for the inventory and fixes the marker position.
Installation instructions
Install reframework if you haven’t already. Extract the zip file and paste this Lua file in the autorun folder of reframework. Enable the aspect ratio fix under graphics for cutscenes, if you are using ultrawide. Tweak the fov as you like. The limiter needs to be set slightly higher than the current fov, around +1 or +2, so the transitions work properly. The tweaks are available under Script Generated UI.
The starting area is not a good place to tweak the FOV, as the game uses a value that is too high there. However, once you enter the first house, the game starts using the relative value. Other FOV tweaks will likely not work or be incompatible.
Main features
Ultrawide fov: automatically calculates the FOV for ultra/widescreen.
Current fov display: A display that shows the current field of view to help with orientation.
Requirements
reframework -> RE4.zip and copy only the dinput8.dll if you not using VR. Should also work with nightly builds.
